During a Session

PlantA treatment session involves a comprehensive review of your personal health history and current health care needs. Abdominal massage focused on aligning reproductive and abdominal organs. Evaluation and application of structural alignment of the spine with attention to the sacrum, lumbar and thoracic regions. Recommendation of complimentary modalities; such as, herbal remedies, castor oil packs, faja (organ support wrap – pronounced fa-ha), bajos (traditional vaginal steam of the Maya – pronounced ba-hos), nutritional and or lifestyle education and adaptations and most importantly instruction in Self-Care techniques to enhance your professional treatment session.

Each client is instructed in performing the abdominal massage for themselves. By doing self care massage daily for 5 minutes daily it provides the individual with the ability to improve their symptoms while working with their practitioner.. Over the years, practitioners report that their clients obtain relief from their symptoms quicker when they perform daily self care techniques and make the necessary lifestyle changes than clients who don’t.

The self-care workshops are open to everyone and are a fantastic way to expand on the treatment session provided by a practitioner.

They are two and a half day workshops full of invaluable information. It is a shame that in our culture a lot of this knowledge has been lost and not handed down to us by our mothers and grandmothers. Much is common sense or folk medicine that will leave you wondering why as woman we have not been taught these essential tools for our health and well being. I recommend everyone attend a workshop and bring, their mothers, daughters, friends and husbands.
